London, Ontario — February 15, 2017 — The Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) has announced that Marty Hollingshead has been added to the list of speakers appearing at this year’s Convention. The 2017 OARA Convention & Trade Show takes place March 30 to April 1 at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre in Markham, Ontario.
Hollingshead is the owner of Northlake Auto Recyclers in Hammond, Indiana. His yard has received numerous honours, including the 2016 ARA CAR Member of the Year award. The award recognizes an Automotive Recycling Association (ARA) that has shown exemplary dedication to the industry and the Certified Automotive Recycler (CAR) program. The CAR program was created to produce a set of standards for general business practices as well as environmental and safety issues, and to provide guidance for member facilities in adhering to these standards.
Hollingshead will speak on the importance of auto recycler data during the session on April 1. Hollingshead is a vocal advocate of the industry and a prolific writer on various aspects of automotive recycling.
OARA has also announced new exhibitors have been added to the trade show: GFL Environmental, UCIT Online Security, the Ministry of Environment and Moffatt Scrap Iron & Metal. Exhibitor spaces at the trade show are now sold out.
