No Summer Break: FCA facilities push forward, instead of shutting down for the summer

Brampton, Ontario — Normally FCA facilities shutdown for the summer, however, this year several facilities will remain open to get a head start on rebuilding inventory.

The plants that are remaining open are; Jefferson North, Toledo Assembly and Sterling Heights in the US; Brampton Assembly in Canada; and Saltillo Truck Assembly and Saltillo Van Assembly in Mexico. Other facilities that are not listed will still take the scheduled break.

Not taking the annual one to two week break will allow these facilities to address depleted inventory of popular trucks and muscle cars.

By opting-out of the scheduled breaks, it may allow for these facilitates to be further prepared if another COVID-19 related shutdown is required.

COVID-19 concerns are one of the main reasons the facilities are choosing to not shutdown, and instead prepare more inventory.
