Toronto, Ontario — March 15, 2019 —Jose Luis Valls has been named as senior vice-president and vice chairman of Nissan Motor North America.
Valls will replace Denis Le Vot effective April 1. Le Vot will move to Paris to take on the role of Alliance senior vice president for Alliance Light Commercial Vehicle Business Unit.
Nissan’s North American management changes are apart of the company’s focus to deliver its “M.O.V.E. to 2022” midterm plan, as well as to strengthen its converged business with partner Alliance Renault.
Valls resume includes more than 20 years of automotive experience including have worked for Nissan since 2011. Prior to being named the vice president of North America, he was chairman of the company’s Latin America region and has also served as president of Nissan’s operations in Mexico.
