Hamilton, Ontario — February 3, 2016 — Aluminum repair is still a hot topic in the collision repair industry. An upcoming Guild 21 conference call will help to answer repairer’s questions about repairs to this material.
The guest for the Guild 21 call will be Larry Hults, COO of DOXA Enterprises. His interest in cars has always played an important part of his personal and professional life. He spent 36 years with Allstate as a Claims Adjuster, with Tech-Cor, and as a District Claim Manager. During the last nine years with Allstate he was responsible for severity control for national DRP repairs. He is also an ASE Master Auto Body & Refinish Technician. After taking his first I-CAR class, he vowed to make them better. By the end of 1988, he was teaching the I-CAR Collision Repair Course (CRC). Since then, he has been involved with the complete rewrite of the old CRC course and writing of Aluminum Repair, Aluminum Replacement and Welding, Glass Replacement, Steering and Suspension, Plastic Repair, Understanding Collision Repar and Uniform Procedures for Collision Repair classes.
Hults also helped write the test for ASE Collision Repair. He was Washington State’s lead I-CAR Instructor for 10 years and had the privilege to introduce I-CAR to New Zealand and Austrailia. He has been Instructor of the Year twice and has received the Founders Award (highest award for I-CAR volunteers). Currently, Hults is a professional presenter and consultant to collision repair facilities, insurance companies, and repair quality inspection companies and writes technical repair training materials for many automotive topics.
