Toronto, Ontario – September 17, 2018 –It was announced last week that 3M Canada has a new president and general manager, Lars Hanseid.
Hanseid is not new to the company as he possesses 30 years of international experience at 3M. He most recently worked as vice president of the Central East Europe, Middle East and Africa area. Hanseidalso held a variety of management and executive roles at 3M in Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Russia, and the U.S.
He has taken over Mojdeh Poul position who is now the executive vice president of 3M’s Safety and Graphics Business Group.
Earlier in Hanseid’s career he was instrumental in setting up 3M operations in East Europe, including Russia, shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He then later served as the first managing director of the Nordic region and went on to establish a Global Service Centre for 3M EMEA in Poland.
Hanseid will be working out of the 3M Canada headquarters in London, Ontario where approximately 800 employees work.
“Our team in Canada plays a pivotal role in using science to solve real world problems – from the exploration that takes place at our research and development laboratories, to the eight manufacturing locations across the country where we turn ideas into reality using sustainable processes and clean technologies,” said Hanseid.
