Rock Hill, South Carolina — October 21, 2014 — SEM has developed a mid-gloss, aerosol, acrylic clear for body or paint technicians refinishing underhoods and other OEM lower gloss panels. The company says the new 1K HS Semi-Gloss Clear protects colour and adds a mild gloss to basecoats.
The company says reduced cycle times and new efficiencies can be realized with the use of SEM’s 1K HS Semi-Gloss Clear. The aerosol enables technicians to apply clear on the shop floor and eliminates gun cleaning. SEM recommends using 1K HS Semi-Gloss Clear with its OEM Refinishing System for refinishing support parts, cut-ins, jambs and trunks. SEM says this system, which includes Ez Coat and Factory Pack basecoat aerosols, significantly reduces flash times, further reducing overall cycle time.
