Detroit, Michigan — July 26, 2015 — NACE 2015 took place July 21 to 25 at the COBO Center in Detroit, Michigan. This marks the show’s second year in a row in Detroit, spiritual home of the North American auto industry.
This year’s event drew together hundreds of collision repair stakeholders from all over the world, with a significant contingent from Canada. Highlights from the event included the always popular MSO Sympsoium, the debut of new training courses from several high profile OEs and the launch of a new Professional Development Path from I-CAR called Production Manager.
Among the many panel discussions, seminars and workshops were several stand outs, including Alternate Revenue Streams, Vehicle Technology & Trends 2015 and Create a Safety Culture for a Competitive Edge.
Celebrities are often thick on the ground at NACE, and this year’s event upheld the tradition. Celebrities making guest appearances on the show floor and at individual booths included Chip Foose, Bogi Lateiner of All Girls Garage, 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Brad Keselowski, NHRA Funny Car Champion John Force and NHRA top fuel racer Brittany Force, KC Mathieu of Gas Monkey Garage, Jon Kosmoski, Founder of House of Kolor and Stacey David, host of the TV series GearZ.
The expo portion of NACE opened on July 23 featuring 189 exhibitors. The focus was on new products and equipment ranging from abrasives, adhesives and body fillers to the latest and greatest in big-ticket items like welding rigs, straightening and measuring systems and paint booths.
