Toronto, Ontario — Ford released a recall on 833 Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT500s due to an issue with their daytime running lights.
Mustangs built between September 22, 2016, and July 12, 2020, have shown problems in the activation of daytime running lights, which makes these vehicles more difficult to see. This is obviously dangerous as these cars can get up to speed incredibly quickly; they can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in 3.5 seconds.
Ford dealers will update the body control module software – reference number 20C21 – but did not announce when the Mustang Shelby recall will begin.
