Stan Kingshott’s West Coast Classic golf tourney postponed to 2022

Toronto, Ontario — Disappointing news for fans of golf and autobody repair on the west coast, CARPAK Distributing Corp. and Lordco Auto Parts have announced that the Stan Kingshott’s West Coast Classic golf tournament has been postponed until next year.

With COVID-19 cases on the rise in British Columbia and golf venue capacity limits still capped at 50 percent, tournament organizers have decided to call off this year’s event.

“We were hopeful that we would be able to postpone the event until September when restrictions may have eased,” said tournament chairman and president of CARPAK  Brian Kingshott.

“But the growing COVID-19 case numbers have made that option no longer feasible. With the venue capacity limit, we will not have enough helpers or participants to run a successful event this year.”

Organizers remain optimistic that the return to the green in 2022 will be their biggest event to date.

“We invite everyone to join us next August for the biggest tournament yet,” said Kingshott.

“Our goal is to beat our 2019 fundraising record and provide tournament participants with an exceptional golfing experience.”
