Mississauga, Ontario — Nissan Canada has managed to successfully navigate the storm that has been 2020, securing for themselves a Great Place to Work® certification for the second year in a row, according to the eponymous labour advocacy group.
Nissan Canada’s recognition in this way comes following the results of an anonymous employee survey conducted in October that focused on company culture, workplace experience, rewards, communication, and leadership.
This year’s survey also included questions about how employers handled the challenges and uncertainty of the past year, for which Nissan was praised, specifically.
“What differentiates a workplace from a great workplace resides in trust. And trust cannot blossom without the core values that are pride, camaraderie, respect, fairness, and credibility,” said the president of Nissan Canada Inc., Steve Milette.
“Earning the Great Place to Work® designation for the second time is a huge inspiration and a tremendous vote of confidence by our employees. This recognition from the team stems from the culture of trust and transparency Nissan has been building for years, and how the management team successfully kept the channels of communication open amid the global pandemic. Although we’ve been physically apart, our levels of closeness and solidarity have grown.”
