Hamilton, Ontario — November 26, 2015 — There’s a great opportunity available for students interested in starting a career in collision repair, and the best part is that it’s completely free of charge.
Mohawk College’s Stoney Creek campus will offer a Level 1 Autobody and Collision Damage Repairer training course, which includes an extended Level 1 apprenticeship training starting in mid-2016. This no-charge program includes 20 weeks of in-school training followed by eight weeks of work experience. The program is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
Repairers and others in the industry are strongly encouraged to get the word out. There are only 17 spots available in the class, and they will likely fill up quickly. The class starts June 6, 2016. Any student accepted to the program must attend the Information Sessions prior to the class.
The Information Sessions will be held December 1 from 10 am to noon and December 7 from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Mohawk College’s Stoney Creek campus, in the Awareness Theatre, Room A105.
Parking charges will not be enforced for the information times only. For more information, please visit mohawkcollege.ca/skilled-trades-apprenticeship-programs/programs/pre-apprenticeship.html or contact Debbie DeDauw at debbie.dedauw@mohawkcollege.ca.
