Hamilton, Ontario — January 22, 2016 — Mohawk College has announced that it is now recruiting students for its Auto Body and Collision Damage Repair Pre-Apprenticeship training program.
The 18 week, full-time in-school training program is offered at Mohawk’s Stoney Creek Campus. The program commences June 26, 2017 and runs until October 27, 2017.
Program highlights include:
– Six weeks Pre-Trades Theory, Trade Calculations & Estimating, Trade Exploration & Workplace Safety.
– Twelves weeks Auto Body and Collision Damage Repair Basic Level 1 Apprenticeship.
– Training Standard including exposure to the Truck Trailer Service Technician Trade, Health & Safety Certifcation Training and Employment Preparation.
– Eight weeks Work Experience.
There is a tuition subsidy program for students who meet the program eligibility criteria. The program is funded by the Government of Ontario.
Two information sessions are scheduled. The first is scheduled for February 28 and the second will take place on March 7. Both sessions run from 5 to 7 p.m. at the body shop (Room B119) at Mohawk College’s Stoney Creek Campus.
