Salina, Kansas — July 7, 2016 — Matrix Wand has completed development on its newest software application. According to the company, it has already begun rolling out to end users.
Until now, the Matrix Wand’s primary use was during the blueprinting stage. Matrix Active Map 3D Technology is new software that the company says allows Matrix Wand to fully integrate into the repair process.
“We listened when our customers told us about the limitations of their current measuring systems, and with their input we’ve developed the Matrix Active Map 3D Technology which uses a data base of 18,000 vehicles with user selectable 3D data points,” says Jan Srack, CEO of Matrix Wand. “This technology works in tandem with Matrix Wand’s existing ability to select infinite 3D data points on the fly. For example, a technician repairing or replacing a structural component such as an apron or a rail is able to sample multiple locations to ensure proper location of the part with confidence and accuracy. This capability allows The Matrix Wand to make the leap from being considered primarily a blueprinting tool to a fully-fledged 3D repair system.”
