Toronto, Ontario — The Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) will launch its first-ever virtual event, beginning today at 11 a.m. EST.
The event agenda features a medley of presentations from industry professionals, feature chances for attendees to talk to today’s top brands and will even offer a bilingual AkzoNobel workshop. With all sessions available in both English and French, and more than 300 attendees registered, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
CARSTAR will set up a virtual networking room at 11 a.m., but French-speaking attendees will surely want to join the virtual event suite prior to 11 a.m. EST for Patrick Piché’s AkzoNobel workshop. The session, entitled Working with WIP, will cover the limits you can impose to avoid bottlenecks and improve production flow. Piché will continue the discussion in his 12:40 p.m. presentation.
At 1 p.m., Charles Aubry, account manager for Progi will take the virtual floor to discuss how your business can establish a capacity planning ecosystem at the service of your shop performance, while Fix Auto will set up for networking in the auditorium.
Aubry’s presentation will be followed by an open discussion at 1:40 p.m. Solera-Audatex will be hosting a session in the networking lounge at the same time.
Elliot Roberts and Marcos Malzone will be next up at 2 p.m. to talk about the pros and cons of photo-estimation—something many in the industry have just begun navigating in recent months. Roberts and Malzone plan to cover how the process affects customer experience and the concept of machine learning in the bodyshop.
At 3 p.m. Fadi Smaidi of SkillsTrader will wrap up the first day of presentations to discuss how to find talent for all opportunities in collision repair and the aftermarket. After Smaidi’s post-presentation discussion, a virtual reception will be held to wrap up the day.
The online festivities will be back at 1 p.m. on Thursday, beginning with a talk from Groupe Conseil CLE’s Kathryn Peterson. She will deliver a talk on dealing with difficult personalities, followed by a discussion at 1:40 p.m.
At 2 p.m. BETAG Innovation’s COO Dave Flockhart will tell attendees how to return to prosperity with a quality-led, repair-first mindset. Following Flockhart’s talk, Andrew Marsh of Auto Industry Consulting will discuss how repairers can cut through to the post-pandemic future.
English-speaking attendees will be glad to know that Patrick Piché’s Wednesday workshop will also run again, in English, at 4 p.m. on Thursday. AkzoNobel’s Tim White will also join Piché this time around.
