Frankfurt, Germany — PPG has announced that it has received the Innovation Award for the company’s PPG LINQ digital ecosystem at this year’s Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
This innovation award specifically recognizes outstanding technological developments with significant market relevance in the automotive supplier industry, automotive workshop and services sector or original equipment manufacturers.
The PPG LINQ digital ecosystem includes the PPG LINQ Color software, the PPG Magic Box bodyshop assistant, PPG Visualizid software, the PPG Digimatch Spectrophotometer and the PPG Moonwalk system, the company’s award-winning automated paint mixing system originally launched in 2019.
The system offers features such as automated routine tasks and optimized resource use; scalable solutions that can be tailored to various business sizes; precise application and monitoring systems, which aim to reduce risk of errors and rework; and reduced material waste, energy consumption and process times, contributing to meeting sustainability goals.
