Products are put into the cabinet, scanned into the system and given attributes. Once scanned in, stocking levels are set for each product to indicate how low it can get before needing to be reordered.
LeanTec’s easy-to-use smart scanner utilizes the iPod Touch inside a scanning base to scan products as they are removed from the cabinet, mobile cart or stock room.
The scanner is the switchboard that tells the cabinets to open and sends product usage data to the software.
