Toronto, Ontario — July 29, 2015 — As a way of ensuring new staff are up to speed in terms of skills, Assured Automotive has been running a Training Academy for those new to the industry.
For three weeks students polish up their estimating and customer service skills while updating their understanding of management software. The latest group of grads has just finished the course. Congratulations go out to Beckey H., Rikki Smeltzer, Karson Johnson, Kenny Napper, Andrew Rowan, Matthew Dennis, Scott Robertson, Sam Gidwani, Robert Zara, Norman Tazehkand, Costel Fraser and Erin Degner.
The Academy is a relatively new offering from Assured. Collision Repair magazine reported on the first round of graduates back in June of this year. Academy trainer Jean-Marc Julien noted the importance of getting a new generation of industry technicians trained.
“The training format put together by the operations team at Assured Automotive has proven its effectiveness in the progress and knowledge growth reflected in students,” says Julien. “Completing students have displayed a dramatically improved understanding of the business and a heightened awareness of skills required to perform to expectation.”
Students in the academy utilize resources from OEMs as well as industry approved technical information sites such as I-CAR and ALLDATA.
