Ottawa, Ontario — May 2, 2016 — Larry Jefferies is the winner of this year’s prestigious AIA Distinguished Service Award. An official statement was released by AIA Canada.
The Distinguished Service Award will be presented at AIA’s Aftermarket Conference for Executives (ACE) being held at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, in Montreal, Quebec. The event takes place on May 12, 2016.
Larry Jefferies, co-founder of CARSTAR Canada, was in on the ground floor of the collision industry’s consolidation. As a consummate trailblazer, Jefferies is well-known in the aftermarket and collision industry for his leadership skills, vision and strategic foresight. His determination and a remarkable understanding of issues facing the collision industry and the actions required to ensure its continued growth have led the way as the collision industry has evolved.
Always a strong supporter of AIA Canada, Jefferies has served on the AIA PBE Council, Retailers Council and the AIA Collision Council. In 2004-2005, Jefferies was Chair of its Board of Directors.
Jefferies recently completed serving his second term as Chair of the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) and remains active with the organization. He is also active in other industry related activities including Skills Canada and I-CAR Canada. Jefferies is currently President of Jefferies Consulting, where he continues to work with CARSTAR Canada to provide strategic acquisition opportunities to franchise partners and industry-wide opportunities focused on creating positive change in the Canadian marketplace.
