Toronto, Ontario — AkzoNobel and Dave Kindig have been a perfect match for each other since their partnership began in 2016, and the two appear to be taking things to the next level, with AkzoNobel naming Kindig as brand ambassador of its Sikkens paint line on Thursday.
AkzoNobel said in its press release that Kindig will represent the company’s flagship paint brand for the next four years, in addition to his own Modern Classikk paint line which he launched with the company in 2017.
Since then, Modern Classikk by Kindig has grown from a pallet of 26 to 40 colours that AkzoNobel says reflect the “vibe” of the man himself.
“I’m really honoured to be given the opportunity to continue as the face of Modern Classikk and now to represent its premium Sikkens line,” Kindig said in the press release. “Sikkens is the reason I fell in love with AkzoNobel paint in the first place.”
Director of automotive and specialty coatings for AkzoNobel’s Americas market, John Griffin, echoed Kindig’s enthusiasm for the partnership, saying: “Everything about Dave Kindig exudes talent, quality and excellence.
“We are confident that continuing with him as spokesperson for our Modern Classikk and Sikkens brands will be mutually beneficial.”
The company says to stay tuned for further updates to this partnership when the SEMA Show 2023 rolls around at the end of October.
