Las Vegas, Nevada — On November 2, 2023, at the SEMA show Industry Awards Banquet, Jon Delgado, the chief technology officer of Repairify Inc. was recognized as the Gen-III Innovator of the Year.
Specifically, Delgado was recognized for his work on developing the asTech Rules Engine and asTech Insights.
The Gen-III Innovator of the Year awards honours entrepreneurial individuals aged 40 years or younger who are creating new innovative breakthroughs within the areas of the automotive aftermarket opportunities, advancements, best business practices and technology or trends.
Repairify’s Tech Rules Engine uses empirical data to present users with an accurate and cost-effective diagnostic scan option specific to a given vehicle year, make, model and trim.
To develop the engine, asTech scanned tens of thousands of vehicles with leading aftermarket scan tool providers to compare the results to the authentic OEM tool scans. After a year-long effort, asTech developed a rich data set that could verify certain aftermarket scans which performed equivalently to the OEM scan as “OEM-Compatible.”
According to SEMA’s announcement of the awards, “Delgado was instrumental in delivering this data to the industry through a comprehensive ADI solution, merging asTech’s traditional remote OEM service offerings with comprehensive aftermarket alternatives known to be viable to the repair process.”
Alongside this award, Delgado is also a key contributor and leader in ADAS calibration identifications with his ADAS Think.
Collision Repair mag would like to extend congratulations to Delgado on his SEMA success.
