Toronto, Ontario — What would you do if your vehicle began mysteriously melting? That’s one question that some Lexus GX owners are trying to answer after showcasing their vehicles’ deformed vehicle parts on online forums.
Image: Reddit, u/TurboSalsaSpecifically, several owners from across the United States are currently reporting on the Facebook group Lexus GX 550 Owners and Enthusiasts that the mirror caps and trim of their vehicles are allegedly becoming deformed due to sun damage.
According to photos originally posted by Paul Yelton on the Facebook group’s page, his vehicle suffered a deformed and discoloured mirror cap that appears to be partially melted.
The owners of these vehicles report no interference that could have caused the damage.
Currently, the automaker has not commented on the situation, despite owners questioning whether or not a recall should be issued if things continue to heat up.
