Bloomington, Illinois — The speakers for the CIECA CONNEX 2023 Conference have been announced, and will be tackling the theme of “Connected Car, Connected Industry” this time around.
Running the gamut of automotive technology expertise, this year’s conference will feature talks from Rivian’s senior collision manager, Frank Phillips, his counterpart at Lucid Motors, Jake Rodenroth, as well as numerous representatives from other companies like J.D. Power, OEConnection, I-CAR, and many more.
Fans of Rivian are due to receive a special treat from the up-and-coming EV automaker as well, according to Phillips, given the close proximity between the event and Rivian’s plant in Normal, Ill.
“Rivian is excited to invite the CONNEX attendees to our manufacturing facility for an exclusive tour of the plant,” said Phillips.
“The Rivian collision team is extremely proud to be a partner with the Rivian team in Normal, Ill., to bring this to the attendees this year!”
Speaking on this year’s theme of a connected industry, CIECA executive director Paul Berry said “As vehicle technology increases, there is a growing interconnection between vehicles, the cities and streets they drive on, first responders, manufacturers, repairers, insurers and every other segment of the automotive ecosystem.
“As an industry, we need to be prepared to repair and service vehicles that are quickly becoming nodes on a complex network. It is imperative that we understand what changes are coming and how they will affect the industry and CIECA Standards in the future.”
This year’s CIECA CONNEX Conference is set for Sept. 12 to 13 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington in Bloomington, Ill.
