Toronto, Ontario – June 10, 2019 – Italy will be roaming with collision repairers from all over the world, as the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium Global Summit kicked off on Monday.
Running until June 12 at the Grand Hotel Dino in Milan, the event will be packed with a series of panels and presentation for industry leaders to gain insight and debate the issues that lie within the collision repair industry surrounding the theme of a ‘Passion for Progress.’ The ‘Big Debate’ will examine the unprecedented change taking place in the collision repair industry, as a result of developments in vehicle technology, connected claims, new repair techniques, and bodyshop consolidation.
Driverless cars and collision avoidance technology will also be under the spotlight, as the IBIS Global Summit asks what all this means for skills, bodyshop profitability and strategy, the role of vehicle manufactures, mobility, and vehicle data.
Following an opening address from IBIS CEO Jason Moseley in the morning, former head of the Smart product division for Daimler AG. Dr. Annette Winkler will deliver the first major address of the year, in a speech on the insight to leading a global OEM business. Later in the day, founder of Elite Bodyshop Solutions, Dave Luehr will deliver a presentation on the six secrets of a successful bodyshop.
The event will also feature a number of other keynote speakers including, global collision business and strategy manager Jennifer Boyer, Jeff Smith, otherwise known as the KPI Guy and international best-selling author vice president insurance replacement of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Mary Mahoney, plus much more.
Founded in 2001 by the UK Bodyshop magazine owners Christopher Mann and David Young, the inaugural conference was held in Wales. Since then, IBIS events have been held throughout the world. The 2019 conference is expected to bring in 350 delegates, representing every major market.
