Las Vegas, Nevada — November 3, 2014 — I-CAR is providing 2014 SEMA Show attendees a lineup of 2015 Ford F-150 focused presentations, discussions and training.
As part of the facilitator’s offerings at the Las Vegas, Nevada event, Ford Service Engineering team members will take to the North Hall’s Collision Repair & Refinish stage to present the 2015 F-150 Collision Repair Program—covering the training, equipment and tooling recommendations required to properly repair the aluminum-intensive vehicle.
No additional registration is required to attend the program presentation. The schedule is as follows:
- Nov. 4 at 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
- Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. (Hosted by SCRS)
- Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition, I-CAR will hold its six-credit, one-hour 2015 Ford F-150 Structural Repair course—FOR06—to satisfy training for I-CAR collision repair and insurance roles, including Aluminum Structural Technician.
Students of FOR06—offered over two half-days on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. and Nov. 5 at 8 a.m.—will walk away with material-specific training highlighting processes demanded by the aluminum-bodied F-150.
Following the launch of FOR06 in May 2014, I-CAR says over 5,500 repair technicians and 3,300 insurance APDAs have completed the course, with over 2,200 more industry professionals completing Aluminum Welding Training & Certification.
“This really tells us that the industry is hungry for relevant, timely, and vehicle specific training,†says I-CAR CEO and President John Van Alstyne. “Our roll out of the FOR06 course, prior to the vehicle’s debut, prepares the industry to deliver complete, safe and quality repairs before the 2015 Ford F-150 hits the streets.â€
