Hamilton, Ontario – One Burlington Fire truck has been noticeably more fashionable over the past couple of months, turning heads while raising awareness for causes like breast cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.
Sporting a pink wrap and moustache to support awareness for breast cancer and men’s health, in partnership with CARSTAR Burlington, Burlington Fire is making a statement yet again in 2020.
Decking out one of their trucks in support of charities has been a long-standing tradition for Burlington Fire, paired with the several donations the department makes to the Canadian Cancer Society and Movember Foundation every October and November.
“It has been a challenging year for everyone, but it is important for us to continue giving back to our community as this is when it matters most,” says co-owner of CARSTAR Burlington Mike Dybka.
“Seeing our local fire truck decked out is amazing. Plus, the fire department raises thousands for both causes.”
