Oakville, Ontario — Budd’s Collision in Oakville, Ont. is inviting industry members to its annual Christmas Pig Roast next week, which will benefit the Sam Piercey Foundation.
The Pig Roast—now in its fourth year—will be held on Dec. 20 at Budd’s Collision at 2071 South Service Road West in Oakville. Beginning at noon, the roast will feature entertainment, raffle draws and, of course, food and refreshments.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Sam Piercey Foundation, which assists young apprentices in becoming licensed auto repair technicians by helping them with schooling costs, tools and other needs throughout their apprenticeships. The foundation honours Sam Piercey, former collision industry member and co-owner of Budd’s Collision, who tragically died in 2016 after a battle with leukemia.
The foundation is also partnered with Skills Canada to recognize students competing in national body repair and paint competitions. Winning students are awarded a bursary to be put toward their tuition costs.
