Montreal, Quebec – On June 4, a man in his thirties earned 30 demerit points and had his license suspended for seven days, after driving at 208 kilometers per hour in a 70-kilometer per hour zone, or three times the limit.
The man was clocked along Highway 20 West, near Angrignon Boulevard. After the ticket, demerit and suspension, his car was seized by the Quebec Provincial Police.
Unsurprisingly, the SQ criticized the practice, calling speeding a primary cause for deadly road accidents.
Do not go fast. You might injure someone, and you will be poorer for it.
