Ottawa, Ontario — The Automotive Industry Association (AIA) is giving its members’ children a chance at a scholarship, as long as you get your application in before September 15.
Calling all AIA members with children in or going into post-secondary! The AIA is sending some students back to school with an extra $1,000 in their pockets through its High Fives for Kids Foundation Scholarship.
In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must have a parent that’s a full-time employee at an active AIA member company in good standing, be enrolled in a college, university or technical school program leading to a certificate or diploma, and write a one-page essay detailing why they should be considered.
The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement (not necessarily in the automotive field), skill, extracurricular involvement or special abilities. It’s also an annual scholarship with a deadline of September 15 every year, so if you don’t qualify this year, you can try your luck again in 2021.
