Calgary, Alberta — As of May 2020, almost seven Canadians reported food insecurity, according to a food insecurity report by Stats Canada.
To help combat any holiday hunger in Calgary, Collision Kings put together a Holiday Food Drive, from Dec. 1 to 10 with the help of Axalta and Rondex, by collectively donate one dollar for every item collected for up to $1000 per location.

The locations are CARSTAR Royal Oak; CARSTAR Meridian; CARSTAR Alberta Lloydminster City Centre Auto Body, CARSTAR Sunridge; CARSTAR Burnsland; CARSTAR Alberta Grande Prairie; CARSTAR East Lake; CARSTAR Downtown Calgary, Nick’s Repair Service Manitoba; CARSTAR Inglewood Appraisal Centre; CARSTAR Lloydminster City Centre Auto Body Saskatoon; and lastly, Bunzy’s Auto Body Winnipeg.
Canadians who were employed during the week of April 26 to May 2, but absent from work due to business closure, layoff, or personal circumstances due to COVID-19, were most likely to be food insecure, 28.4 percent, than those who were working, 10.7 percent.
