Peterborough, Ontario — October 18, 2017 — Have you ever heard strange footsteps creeping down the basement stairs, when you’re alone in your shop after hours? Do the hairs on your back stand up, goosebumps crawl across your skin for no apparent reason? Perhaps you’ve thought to yourself, “maybe my shop is haunted.”
With Halloween approaching later this month, children and adults alike will be preparing for the annual celebration through the medium of costumes, trick or treating and ghost stories. Unfortunately—or fortunately, depending on how you look at it—terrifying, unexplainable and ghostly encounters don’t just happen in the month of October. It can happen on the most ordinary days, in the most ordinary places. And maybe it has happened to you, in your very own shop.
In celebration of the spookiest month of the year, Collision Repair magazine wants to hear about your own ghostly encounters, in your autobody repair facility, or in one you’ve worked in. Embrace your inner Stephen King and tell us your shop’s most hair-raising, blood-curdling and haunting story.
We are looking to hear from shop owners and staff in the collision repair industry who have experienced ghoulish or fear-inducing events within their shop. Perhaps you have seen a supernatural being while working late one night, or maybe you’re convinced one of your tools keeps moving of its own accord, we want to hear all stories whether they’re terrifying or just simply mysterious.
Make sure it’s fang-tastic, we will be reading through each story and the most bone-chilling anecdotes will be selected to appear in our daily ezine on Halloween itself.
If you are interested in sharing your experiences with the team here at CRM, please email your stories directly to our editor, Mike Davey, at editor@collisionrepairmag.com.
