Chicago, Illinois — On Tuesday, LKQ announced its inaugural ‘LKQ Cares Holiday Vote’ charitable program, running through December 12, 2021, which will see the company divvy up $500,000 between various philanthropic organizations.
A portion of the donations will be determined by votes submitted by LKQ stakeholders. Each of the organizations will receive an initial $10,000 donation, with the allocation of the remaining $400,000 in funds to be determined based on votes from LKQ employees, customers, investors and other stakeholders. The company expects all donations to be paid by January 2022.
The charities participating are:
- American Cancer Society
- Collision Repair Education Foundation
- Ellen MacArthur Foundation
- Feeding America
- International Committee of the Red Cross
- The LEAF Coalition
- UNICEF
- United Way Worldwide
- USO
- World Health Organization (WHO) Foundation
