Toronto, Ontario — According to a report by Global Industry Analysts, poor road conditions amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic are expected to drive growth in the automotive aftercare market. Exterior and structural products such as laminated windows and glass were some of the most common products that were upgraded or replaced, according to the report.
Additionally, the Saskatchewan Association of Automotive Repairers has reported increasing insurance claims volumes, thanks to an active storm season in the Prairies. Autobody shops in Pennsylvania and Illinois have also reported increased business thanks to potholes and poor road conditions caused by the winter.
The increasing number of vehicle components and aftermarket products also means growth for the autobody and automotive repair industry, with the report expecting the automotive industry to hit US$542.1 Billion by 2026.
