Aurora, Ontario — On Thursday, Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakis cut the ribbon at Supreme Collision Centre’s newly refurbished Aurora facility, specially designed to be both efficient and environmentally friendly and efficient.
“This is a great facility. It is environmentally friendly, and it just looks great,” said Mrakis. “Wow. We all wish you the best.”
The 10,000 sq. ft. workshop’s layout is designed in a step-by-step “U” shape developed by brothers Marty and Chris Reddick. Not only does the staging ground allow for the efficient completion of work, but it also allows for the facility to reduce its carbon emissions.
“We’ve got all of the vehicles on a rail system, meaning they can go through every step of the repair process without driving. It is a huge carbon saving,” said Chris Reddick. “We have other equipment to reduce toxic chemical emissions that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere.”
The Supreme Collision facility, it employs a 17 person team and is certified by a number of OEMs and by Certified Collision Care and holds I-CAR Gold status.
“It is important for us to emphasize training,” said Marty Reddick. “That is why we make sure the whole team gets Platinum-level certifications.”
The event, hosted by the Reddick family which has run Supreme Collision Centres since 1963, saw a veritable who’s who of the auto aftermarket arrive at the world-class facility. Representatives from industry partners, including Car-O-Liner and Discount Car Rentals, joined the other guests as they enjoyed canapes and other refreshments.
The Aurora location is Supreme Collision’s third facility. The brand operates one location in Thornhill, Ont. and another in Bolton, Ont.
