Indianapolis, Indiana — If you were disappointed that the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s annual golf tournament is sold out, you may be relieved to hear that the golf ball drop event is still accepting participants, and features 100 percent more helicopters.
The ball drop is the showstopper event at every one of CREF’s annual golf tournaments, where donors are able to “purchase” golf balls with their name written on them. The golf balls are then dropped from a helicopter onto a target down below.
The individual whose ball is closest to the bullseye of the target then receives a prize, courtesy of co-host sponsor PPG this year.
While the golf tournament itself is currently sold out, organizers are encouraging those who are interested to email Tiffany Bulak, in order to be added to the waitlist.
This year’s CREF golf tournament and ball drop event are set for July 19 at the Hillcrest Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind.
