Toronto, Ontario — February 10, 2016 — Glen Murray, Ontario’s Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, will lead off the slate of speakers at the 2016 OARA Convention & Trade Show. The event takes place March 18 and 19 at Markham Suites Conference Centre in Markham, Ontario.
Although the event is produced by the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA), the convention traditionally attracts recyclers from all over the country.
In addition to the minister, the seminar session promises an update on national projects promoting auto recycling, presentations from Team PRP and Hollander and a special presentation by Robert Counts of Counts Business Consulting, “Survival in a Down Market.”
Amber Kendrick (nee Elenbaas) will serve as the keynote speaker. You can read more about Kendrick’s background at “Amber Elenbaas to headline OARA Convention.” Kendrick will also host a special Sunday Sales School event taking place on March 20.
The Trade Show always attracts a lot of attention at the OARA Convention. At time of publication, 56 of 60 booth spaces have already been booked, so there will be plenty to see.
The first day of the OARA Convention will conclude with a silent auction and charity casino, with a live auction following at 11 pm. All proceeds go towards the OARA Employee Scholarship Program.
