Gamma Technologies’ Vice President and Co-Founder, Syed Wahiduzzaman, Named a 2023 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Fellow

WESTMONT, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dr. Syed Wahiduzzaman, Vice President and Co-Founder of Gamma Technologies, has been awarded the Fellow grade of membership in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) – the highest level of SAE membership. This distinguished honor is bestowed on fewer than 20 awardees per year in recognition of years of service and SAE membership, as well as original contributions to the automotive technology and engineering community. SAE established the Fellow grade of membership in 1975 to recognize important engineering, scientific and leadership achievements that have impacted the mobility industry and SAE’s contributions to the profession and society.

In his nearly 30 years of service at Gamma Technologies, Dr. Wahiduzzaman has contributed to improving knowledge and understanding of the positive impact simulation can have on mobility engineering. He focused his expertise on the impact of engineering exhaust aftertreatment systems with the goal of achieving net zero emissions. Dr. Wahiduzzaman is active in system optimization, innovative combustion system development and electrified vehicles (BEV, HEV, FCEV, etc.). He has worked with many prestigious academic institutions and published over 60 papers.

“I am deeply thankful for this recognition and nomination from my peers. Having the opportunity to work with world-class experts, professors and mobility engineering enthusiasts, as well as brilliant young students throughout my career has been an honor,” Dr. Wahiduzzaman remarked. “I love doing what I do each day and am appreciative of this recognition and award by SAE.”

At Gamma Technologies, Dr. Wahiduzzaman has been instrumental in the development and expansion of Gamma Technologies’ GT-SUITE and its breadth of capabilities. He has secured and collaborated on several Department of Energy contracts to better our environment, and he championed simulation as a key enabler of an improved product development process for more environmentally friendly cars, trucks and off-highway equipment.

Dr. Wahiduzzaman will be honored at the SAE Fellows Reception and Dinner, held Monday evening, April 17, 2023, prior to SAE WCX2023 in Detroit, MI.
