Markham, Ontario — Just one week after opening its brand-new Mississauga, Ont. parts distribution centre, Porsche has broken ground on another new Ontario facility—a 50,000 sq. ft. dealership, repair and service centre inside Cadillac Fairview’s Markville Mall.
The Porsche Centre Markham will be one of the first facilities in the world to feature the automaker’s new global retail architecture. The facility will also boast high-tech advancements to prepare for the brand’s electric future, with charging stations on-site as well as an EV battery repair room, which will be future-proofed to serve the upcoming Porsche Taycan and the brand’s future EV models.
Other features include full parts and service operations, as well as a driver selection boutique. It will also connect directly to the Markville Mall’s underground and above-ground parking lots and have full pedestrian access to allow mall visitors complete access to Porsche’s vehicles and facility.
The new centre is the third Porsche dealership within the portfolio of Pfaff Automotive Partners, which began its history with the automaker in 1967.
“As one of Canada’s fastest-growing communities, and one of the country’s best performing for premium vehicle sales, Markham is the perfect site for a new Porsche dealership,” said Chris Pfaff, Pfaff Automotive Partners president and CEO. “Its proximity to a number of manufacturer head offices, the number and strength of luxury vehicle dealerships, and its vibrant economy all contributed to the decision the locate our latest Porsche dealership here.”
The new facility is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2020.
