Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — The PPG Foundation gave more than USD$13.3 million in donations in 2021, which were distributed among more than 500 community partners and programs across the globe.
Highlights include: USD$6.6 million dedicate to building the next generation of STEM leaders through a partnership ensuring post-secondary access to all youth; a 37 percent increase in progress toward the company’s commitment to invest USD$20 million by 2025 in support of Black communities and POC in the U.S. and a USD$5.9 million investment toward community transformations, essential needs and social justice.
“As a science and technology company, we know firsthand the importance of educational opportunities to create a more sustainable community and accelerate pathways for diverse students and communities. We see fresh paint colours transform spaces where students feel resilient and ready to learn,” said Malesia Dunn, executive director, PPG Foundation and corporate global social responsibility. “Through all of our efforts in 2021, we prioritized opportunities to demonstrate the power of volunteerism and education to reflect on our company’s purpose to ‘protect and beautify the world.’”
