Toronto, Ontario — Terry Fortner, the long-time v-p of sales and marketing for LKQ has announced his retirement, effective at the end of July.
Fortner, who gave 12 years of his career to LKQ, was initially brought on to develop relationships with the company’s corporate insurance partners and high-volume shops.
President, Wholesale North America Operations Justin Jude spoke highly of Fortner, saying he “succeeded in every endeavour” in which he took part.
“I have enjoyed working with him for the past 12 years and am proud to call him a friend. Terry will be greatly missed, and his accomplishments will always be there to remind us of how important he was to LKQ’s success,” said Jude.
Fortner says he is grateful for the people he has gotten to work with along the way.
“What a tremendous journey this has been,” said Fortner. “The most enjoyable aspect of all has been the relationships and great people that I have had the pleasure to serve, work for and with.”
Prior to joining the team at LKQ, Fortner spent the first 32 years of his career working for Nationwide Insurance.
Fortner says he plans to spend much of his newfound free time on the golf course with his wife Vikki.
