Bowmanville, Ontario — August 28, 2015 — Sometimes you fix the fancy cars, on lucky days you get to drive them.
More than 70 excited members of the collision repair community recently had an opportunity to experience the thrill of racing down the track at rapid speeds. As a tribute to their customers, Glasurit, a brand of BASF, and PFAFF Autoworks, sponsored a memorable afternoon for their customers to go for a ride in a McLaren, Porsche or Audi high performance car on the track at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
After experiencing the heart-pounding rush of traveling at speeds over 230/kph and the sound of squealing tires cutting around sharp corners, participants headed off the track to have lunch. In addition to the gourmet meal, there was a custom car display where proud owners showed off their custom built collector cars, as well as multiple key vendors presenting some of their newest technology and products in the industry and a special guest appearance by Chip Foose.
Chip Foose, an American hot rodshop owner, automotive designer and fabricator and star of the reality TVseries, Overhaulin’, presented a speech to the crowd about his passion for his work and his success using Glasurit 90 Line refinish paint for all his restorations. He was very personable and actively engaged in conversation with all of the guests.
Afterwards Foose provided every single fan and car enthusiast with an autograph as well as a personal sketch of the person’s dream car or current vehicle he recreated from a photo. In premium fashion, Glasurit and PFAFF hosted an incredible event and left every single person with the experience of a lifetime.
“BASF was proud to host Chip Foose for this memorable event with Pfaff Autoworks. Chip exclusively uses our Glasurit 90-Line paint system and has won four Ridler awards with it including this year’s Ridler award,” says Shefali Cromer, Glasurit Market Segment Manager for North America.
