Montreal, Quebec — May 31, 2017 — Fix Auto Canada has announced it will sponsor Canadian skills competitor Vyolaine Dujmovic when she competes at the upcoming WorldSkills event, taking place in Abu Dhabi, UAR, in October 2017. The announcement was made by Jean Charles Dupuis, the company’s Chief Operations Officer.
Dujmovic was given the opportunity to put her studies to practice at Fix Auto Henri-Bourassa, as part of a corporate mentorship program. Owner/operator Nuno Victorino says he rapidly took notice of her talent. “From day one, Vyolaine was a great example of the next generation of bodyshop technicians” says Victorino. “She was eager to embrace challenges and her exceptional capabilities were quickly evident.”
Dujmovic will spend this summer and fall practicing in preparation for the global competition in Abu Dhabi. “I am very proud and honoured to represent Canada on the world stage,” says Dujmovic, “I am also incredibly grateful to my Fix Auto family for their continued support and generosity.”
Dupuis says he was immediately impressed by the young talent. “Vyolaine embodies the enthusiasm, energy and commitment of the Fix Auto network,” he says. “As an organization, we are committed to leading the automotive aftermarket industry by investing into new and innovative technologies, along with the skilled workforce required to work within this new reality.”
A statement from Fix Auto says the company will support Dujmovic this year as she prepares for upcoming competitions. She will also act as youth ambassador of Fix Auto Canada at educational and informational expositions showcasing the next generation of collision repair talent.
Dujmovic has also received sponsorship from AIA Canada, in the form of enough I-CAR training to take her to Platinum status.
