Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — Axalta has announced that Dr. Carmen Flosbach and Dr. Michael Koerner have been elevated to the status of Axalta Fellow, in a press release from last Wednesday.
Axalta Fellow is the highest honour that a scientist or engineer can earn within Axalta’s Technology function.
Dr. Flosbach has been an innovator throughout the course of her 30-plus year career and has proven herself as a resident expert on resins and polymers within the company, with many of her developments making their way directly into Axalta’s many coatings offerings.
Dr. Koerner is an industry veteran himself, having spent the past 34 years with Axalta developing numerous patents and innovations in the realm of waterborne coatings.
“Our technology team is the source of Axalta’s unrivaled R&D capabilities and innovations that deliver solutions for our customers,” said Robert Roop, senior v-p and CTO at Axalta.
“I am honored and proud to name Carmen and Mike as the newest Axalta Fellows and to formally recognize their outstanding contributions to our businesses and to research and scientific knowledge over the last three decades.”
