Fast Park & Relax to Open Offsite Parking Facility Near PIT

New facility expected to welcome travelers in time for peak fall travel

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Fast Park & Relax, a leader in offsite airport parking and transportation, recently purchased 29 acres of land near the Pittsburgh International Airport to bring the company’s signature service and more than 2,500 parking spaces to the Pittsburgh market. Currently with 16 facilities serving some of the busiest airports across the country, Fast Park expects to open the new and modern parking option for PIT travelers near the airport later this fall.

Melanie Chavez, a partner at Chavez Properties – the parent company of the Fast Park brand – calls the timing of entry into the Pittsburgh market a fitting complement to the airport as it undergoes major renovations in its Terminal Modernization Program.

“We are thrilled to enter the Pittsburgh market as the airport invests to revamp its customer experience,” Chavez shares. “Fast Park has offered comfortable and consistent service to travelers across the country for more than three decades. We continually seek to elevate our guests’ experiences, introducing innovative ways to make airport parking as effortless as possible. It bodes well with PIT’s designation as a ‘future-defining airport’ by the Washington Post as Fast Park will ensure that the first and final leg of a trip – parking – extends that enhanced airport experience for travelers.”

The new facility will feature all the hallmarks of the Fast Park brand, such as a secure, clean and well-lit lot that is staffed 24/7; car-to-terminal service and free luggage assistance; a mobile-friendly online portal in which guests can secure reservations, enjoy a completely contactless experience, earn points toward free parking and manage their parking transactions and more. Fast Park also will invest in an environmentally friendly, geo-thermal heating system at the facility.

“The Pittsburgh market is one we’ve followed for a long time,” said Rob Chavez, partner at Chavez Properties. “Travelers have a lot of options when it comes to ground transportation to and from the airport, and we look forward to partnering with Findlay Township to show PIT travelers the Fast Park difference so they can do less walking and less waiting on the curb.”

Facility construction will begin by June 1, and contractor selection will be confirmed by May. Details and anticipated opening dates, including grand opening pricing, will be announced later this year.
