Victoria, British Columbia — After a delay due to cyberattacks, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) says its customer rebate cheques are on their way.
A release from the public insurer says the cheques are coming out in “small batches” at first, and work continues to send out more in the coming weeks. As of Friday morning, cheques had been issued to around 30,000 customers.
The investigation into the cyberattack which affected a third-party vendor is ongoing. Cheques were initially to be mailed out March 15.
