Toronto, Ontario — Proving that the spirit of the holidays does not need to be confined to December, five lucky customers have received a gift of $5,000 from their local Driven Brands business, as part of the company’s inaugural “Drive Home for the Holidays” campaign.
This newly launched initiative from Driven Brands encourages franchise owners to recognize and reward members of their community with a pretty hefty sum of cash.
Gifts were given to two Canadian facilities, CARSTAR Bancroft and CARSTAR Ste-Agathe of Val-David, Que., in addition to three U.S. locations.
CARSTAR Bancroft elected to gift $5,000 to a local police officer, April Hannah, who they said has been in and out of their shop a lot recently, dealing with a long-term repair to their vehicle.
For its part, CARSTAR Ste-Agathe gave its gift to a customer named Kevin and their family, who they say have been met with financial hardships as of late, but always remained optimistic and courteous during their repair process.
The CARSTAR Ste-Agathe team was overjoyed to help this family in their time of need, according to the Driven Brands press release.
South of the border, ABRA Cloquet of Scanlon, Minn. gave its gift to a customer named Tom, who they say has been taking their car to them for years, and has since referred much of their family there as well.
CARSTAR Fairborn C&H of Fairborn, Ohio expressed its appreciation to a customer named Carlette, who the shop says remained patient and trusting while they worked to secure a key structural part for their vehicle.
Finally, Fix Auto Kenmore of Kenmore, Wash. chose to help out a customer named Carrie, who they say was in an unfortunate accident not long after purchasing a new vehicle but remained kind and gracious throughout the entire repair process.
The staff at Fix Auto Kenmore said they couldn’t think of any customer more deserving than Carrie, according to the press release.
“Our franchise family has a deep commitment to supporting the members of the communities in which they work and live,” said Driven Brands president of collision and paint, Chris Dawson.
“This past year has provided challenges for all, and our owners were thrilled to be able to provide extra support and appreciation to their amazing customers.”
He continued, “It is inspiring to see the care each of our owners has for their customers.
“Their compassion and dedication are what makes their businesses so successful. We look forward to continuing to see their involvement in their communities!”
