Toronto, Ontario – Tesla is expanding the Full-Self-Driving (FSD) beta to 160,000 more owners in the United States and Canada, with Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO approving of the latest patch.
In a Twitter post from Sept. 19, Musk confirmed that patch 10.69.2.2 was ready for release to more users across North America. However, a timeline was not provided.
This comes after various controversies surrounding the company, from an unverified study claiming that Tesla’s FSD would ruthlessly mow children down, along with three class action lawsuits from the United States.
After a recent price hike, prospective customers with eligible Tesla vehicles can purchase the FSD software package for up to $15,000.
