Victoria, British Columbia — Camosun College has announced that it plans to help drive electric vehicle repair education through hands-on learning experiences using the ‘EVan.’

Notably, using the ‘EVan’–which is specifically a new BrightDrop Zero 400–students  in trades programs such as automotive repair will have the opportunity to learn about repairing vehicles with high-voltage systems.

In a recent online statement, Brian Corey, chair of trades development with the college commented that the ‘EVan’ will equip students with the necessary real-world experience needed to be successful in the industry.

To acquire the new training vehicle, Camosun College signed up for federal and provincial rebates to help pay for the program.

Corey concluded that the college is prepared to deliver mobile trades training once the van has been received and is in full operation.
