Toronto, Ontario — March 28 2018 — On Thursday, Discount Car and Truck Rentals hosted its Industry Appreciation Night in Mississauga, Ontario. With more than 150 guests from the automotive aftermarket in attendance, the event kicked off with appetizers and drinks at a local restaurant.
An early entrant into the insurance replacement business, Discount has a long-established relationship with many repair facilities. While today the company also caters to leisure renters and commercial truck renters, Discount describes the annual event as a way to stay true to the company’s roots. A Canadian company, Discount Car and Truck Rentals was established in 1980 in Hamilton, Ontario by Rhoda Singer and her husband Herb. Now run by the next generation of Singers, Discount Car and Truck Rentals is now the only auto rental company owned and operated by Canadians.
