Scottsdale, Arizona — October 20, 2017 — DeVilbiss has announced it will launch a new special edition spray gun at this year’s SEMA show.
In a statement, the company said the TEKNA Vigilante is themed after graphic novel heroes and is inspired by a lineage of “silent crusaders” with a defined purpose who have refined their skill to a level that “defies the ordinary and inspires awe.” The spray gun has been created to commemorate everyday heroes and pay tribute to the refinishing trade.
The spray gun was designed by Kristen Perry, a seasoned Seattle-based video game character developer. DeVilbiss said Perry created a design that is “fresh, relevant and full of intrigue,” and a product that is “destined to become an icon in the spray gun world.”
The Vigilante has been built on the technology of its popular TEKNA ProLite premium spray gun. It is available uncupped with 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4mm fluid tips, TE10 and TE20 high efficiency air caps, a disposable cup adapter, HAV-555 digital gauge, gun wrench and colour ID rings.
Meanwhile, each kit will also contain a card with a promo code to redeem a free Vigilante t-shirt.
Chris French, Product Manager at DeVilbiss Automotive Refinishing, said: “This year’s Special Edition spray gun by DeVilbiss introduces a new superhero to the comic universe: the TEKNA Vigilante. Inspired by graphic novel heroes of yesterday and today, the Vigilante commemorates everyday heroes and celebrates the master sprayers of today, while paying tribute to the refinishing trade.”
The TEKNA Vigilante will be released at SEMA 2017 and is also available now for preorder in both Canada and the US. More information is available at autorefinishdevilbiss.com.
