Swanton, Ohio — September 24, 2015 — DeVilbiss has announced the release of the DAD-PRO, the latest in its line of desiccant air drying systems.
The company says its new unit sports a two-stage filtration process that purges the environment of water, oil and oil aerosols following a paint job. Once cleaned, the air enters the desiccant tank to remove any remaining vapor and humidity to a dew point of -40 C.
During the first stage DeVilbiss says the DAD-PRO filters oil, water and dirt down to five microns, while in the second stage the coalescer reduces remaining vapors and dirt particles down to 0.01 microns.
The company says the water separator channels incoming wet air through the unit’s inner tube, where bulk liquid is removed as wet air is reversed 180 degrees from the baffle plate. As the airflow is redirected it enters the outer tube where its velocity is slowed to further remove the liquids. In the final stages it travels through stainless steel mesh where remaining liquids are removed before it is filtered and removed through the float drain.
Working similarly, DeVilbiss says the oil filter captures oils, aerosols and fine particulates. As they’re being filtered, the company adds that bulk liquid forms which then is forced to the outer surface of the filter and travels to the bottom where it is also removed via the float drain.
The DAD-PRO Air Drying System is now available in Canada and the United States. For more information, please visit devilbiss.com.
